My first blog…

I never thought I would enter this world of blogging. But I think a series of mood swings have led me here and probably I reached a point where I want to express myself…

Chennai auto rickshaws are not anything new to me since I have been traveling in them for the past 19 years. But today I found something really strange when I was going from Mylapore to pondy bazaar. I really started finding something strange right from the moment I sat inside the auto. The way in which the auto driver drove the auto and the kind of horn he had began irritating me. He did not give any damn to the signals and took U- turns in the places where was not supposed to. May be I have come across such auto drivers before but never felt this bad rather never regretted this much for getting into an auto. I started questioning myself badly. Is it possible to test how the auto’s horn is before getting into an auto?? Or do we know how he drives?? Nothing at all! I just did not know what to do.. whether to stop him and get down from that auto.. Or just go on till I reach the destination..
There was a total change in my mood. I was going for diwali shopping with my family and the 20 minutes inside the auto changed the whole scene! But the moment I reached pondy bazaar and got out of the auto I felt extremely relieved and now I don’t even know how I am going to get into an auto the next time!!!
I should say I understood the true meaning of “ at the driver’s risk'.

hey myths....awesome first post!!! it is true that auto drivers r extremely rash ..but we can always tell them to drive smoothly...after all it is our lives that is at peril...the reason why we take autos ia all abt privacy and we wish to keep away from the conjested and tedious bus travel..but when this kind of a driving booms ur heart i guess we need to be frank enough to tell him how much we care for our lives...thats the reason why we give him the money that he asks for inspite of bargaining...one such incident happened to me too...once when my mom was admitted in the hospital i had to go give her the break fast bag and then go to school...when i told the driver "please drive a little fast , its getting late for me" he took it in an exaggerated meaning and started showing me the way to "hell"..thats when i shouted at him saying "i asked u to drive fast and not drive rash"...and he started screamin at me..when i got down i told him that i will only pay him half the amount for the kind of thriller ride he showed me and asked him if i could complaint it to the traffic poilce...thats when he shut his mouth..." sometimes we shouldn keep things to ourselves!!
